Richelieu Rock

The most iconic dive site in the Surin area

Richelieu Rock is the star dive site of the Surin area, famous for big schools of fish, vibrant soft corals, and the chance of something huge cruising by. You’ll explore a horseshoe-shaped reef packed with life, from tiny macro critters to hunting trevallies and barracuda in the blue. Conditions can bring strong currents, which is exactly what makes the action so good.

Koh Tachai

Big boulders, big schools, and often big current

Koh Tachai is a high-energy dive site known for its dramatic granite boulders, strong currents, and nonstop fish action. Expect dense schools of fusiliers and snapper, hunting trevallies, and the chance of pelagics passing through when conditions line up. It’s a thrilling dive for confident divers who want that classic “Similan current dive” feeling.

Koh Tachai Koh Tachai

Koh Bon Koh Bon

Koh Bon

A classic Similan stop with a famous ridge

Koh Bon is best known for its steep drop-off and ridge where big marine life can cruise past when the current is right. You’ll drift along the wall, spot schools of fish in the blue, and explore coral and rocky sections packed with smaller reef life. It’s a great site for that “open ocean” feel, with the bonus of comfortable depths and lots to see even on calmer days.

MV Dive Race MV Dive Race

MV Dive Race Wreck

A brand new, large wreck that’s only just starting to come alive

The MV Dive Race wreck is a newly sunk steel liveaboard that went down after a fire in April 2025, creating a fresh, large structure on the seabed. Right now it’s still in the “new wreck” phase, clean lines, open spaces, and that exciting exploration feel, but over time it will transform into a proper artificial reef as marine growth and schooling fish move in. Expect this site to get better and better season after season.

Similan Islands 4, 5, 7, 8 & 9

Classic Similan scenery: white sand bays, granite boulders, and reefs full of life

Island 4 (Koh Miang) and 5 are known for beautiful coral gardens and relaxed cruising, while Islands 7 and 8 bring the dramatic granite boulders, swim-throughs, and big underwater landscapes the Similans are famous for. Island 9 (Koh Bangu) often adds that extra open-water feel with more fish action. Other islands in the Similan group are not accessible for diving, as parts of the National Park are protected with restricted access zones.
